Siltcoos is Oregon's largest coastal freshwater lake, offering some of the most productive and scenic warmwater fishing in the state.

Siltcoos is considered one of the most celebrated largemouth bass fisheries in Oregon and is known for bass weighing up to 10 pounds.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks rainbow trout in the spring, often including larger "trophy" trout grown to a bigger size before release.
Native cutthroat trout live in the lake and its tributary streams. The state record coastal cutthroat trout was caught here in 1984, weighing 6 pounds 4 ounces!
Described as "formidable" fighters that provide excellent fishing opportunities, particularly appealing to anglers seeking a different challenge from the lake's more famous bass and salmon fishery.
Black Crappie can be found around submerged vegetation. Bluegill are common in spring and early summer. Yellow Perch are popular with families and beginners.

Open Oct 1 through Dec 31. Daily bag limit is one wild adult coho and one wild jack coho per day.
(bass, crappie, bluegill, etc.): Open year-round. Bass limit is five fish per day, minimum length 14 inches
Siltcoos Lake sits in the Southwest Zone. Barbless hooks required for salmon/steelhead.
Wild coho: 12 inches (jacks) or 20 inches (adults). Hatchery trout: 8 inches. Bass: 14 inches.
If releasing: Use single-barb hooks and rubberized nets. Revive fish in current water before release.
